New Mexico Entertainment Magazine is thrilled to celebrate The 2nd Annual New Mexico Entertainment Awards Gala, held on July 6th, 2024, at the Marriott Pyramid North. This prestigious event honored the exceptional talents in New Mexico across a variety of entertainment and events industry categories.
The ceremony spotlighted the Top 5 finalists in 65 categories, selected through a meticulous four-month voting process involving community suggestions, nominee work reviews, and peer industry feedback. Categories spanned annual and monthly events, film, television, radio and podcast, live entertainment, music, and more. This year, the late Chef Manuel Mancillas was posthumously honored with the ICON Award.
The nomination process began on January 1st and concluded on March 1st, narrowing the list to the Top 20 nominees. Voting continued from April 15th to May 17th, culminating in the announcement of the top five nominees in each category on social media from June 2-17, 2024. Winners were revealed at the Awards Gala on July 6th, 2024, at The Albuquerque Marriott Pyramid North. The gala was open to the public, inviting everyone to spend an evening with some of New Mexico's finest talents.
Teresa Robinson, Publisher & Editor-in-Chief of New Mexico Entertainment Magazine and Producer of the event, is proud of the outcome. The Awards Gala commenced with a red carpet entrance for all nominees and guests. The evening was filled with entertainment and celebration, featuring live performances by Avery Martini, Jer Killinger, Musical Theater Southwest, and comedian Black Mike Ogden. Presenters from various entertainment fields were also in attendance.
The New Mexico Entertainment Awards is made possible by the support of New Mexico Entertainment Magazine and community sponsors, including Taylor Garrett Whiskey, Effex Nightclub, The Loan Fund, A Better U Hair Salon and Barber Shop, Heaven and Hell Photography, Lo Phat Band, and Realtor Amber Ortega.
